These next pages represent my facination with flowing water. I love photographing streams, brooks and waterfalls.
Sometimes I have been back to the same place a dozen times and still each visit is unique.
The time of day, the time of year and the mood I am in all make each visit a new visual experience. The choice of camera and lens also has a great impact. Am I standing at a distance picking out little bits with a telephoto lens or am
I standing in the water up to my knees photographing with a wide angle lens. The other thing that always amazes my when I am making these kinds of images is how time stands still for me. I start photographing and I don't stop until I am done.
I might stay for 15 minutes and stop completely satisfied with what I have or continue for 3 or 4 hours. When I am finished I often don't really even know how long I have been photographing or how many images I have captured.
